Wall Battle Mural Competiton

Wall Battle Mural Competition is an ongoing creative initiative designed to celebrate originality, creativity, and community among Malaysian mural artists. Unlike traditional commissioned projects, Wall Battle offers a platform where artists can fully express their own style, ideas, and visual identity — free from commercial constraints.

The main goal of this project is to create space for authentic artistic expression while uplifting the street art and mural scene. By positioning it as a friendly competition, Wall Battle helps to bring energy and excitement back to the mural industry, making it more vibrant and relevant, especially for the younger generation of artists and audiences.

More than just a contest, Wall Battle is also a gathering point — a space where artists from different backgrounds can connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas. Through this initiative, we aim to build stronger networks within the creative community, encouraging mutual support and long-term relationships beyond the event itself.

Participants are selected based on their portfolio and unique visual language, with each given a designated wall to transform during the live event. The public is invited to witness the creative process, giving them a rare chance to engage directly with the artists, learn about their work, and appreciate the craft behind each mural.

Although the project is still in progress, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It has generated excitement across the art community, opened doors for new talents, and showcased the depth of creativity in Malaysia’s mural scene.

Wall Battle is not just about winning — it's about expression, visibility, and strengthening the foundation of our local creative ecosystem. It is proof that when artists are given freedom and community support, the results can be powerful, inspiring, and truly Malaysian.
